Men’s Lacrosse: Knights Release 2019 Schedule

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. – CCBC Essex Knights men's lacrosse today announced its 2019 schedule, which begins with a home game against Suffolk County Community College (Selden, N.Y.) on February 23. Head coach Tim King enters his third season and will look to take the Knights back to their winning ways after a rebuilding season in 2018.

Home

Essex starts the season with a two-game home stand, first against the Suffolk County Sharks in the season opener and then host Mercer County Community College (West Windsor Township, N.J.) on Saturday, March 2.

On Sunday, March 17, the Knights welcome Brookdale Community College (Middletown, N.J.) at the CCBC Dundalk Turf Field, before a conference game with the College of Southern Maryland on Tuesday, March 19.

Finger Lakes Community College (Canandaigua, N.Y.) will visit Essex on Sunday, March 24. Faceoff is 11:00 a.m.

The Knights will return home for another two games against Potomac State College of WVU (Keyser, W.Va.) on Saturday, April 6, and conference rivals Harford Community College on Wednesday, April 10.

Essex will wrap up the season on Tuesday, April 23 with a home contest against its sibling rival CCBC Catonsville at 7:00 p.m.

Away

The Knights travel to New York to face off against Genesee Community College (Batavia, N.Y.) on Saturday, March 9.

Essex takes another road trip north on Saturday, March 24 to play the 2018 national runner-up Nassau Community College (Garden City, N.Y.)

On Saturday, March 30, the Knights take on conference opponent Anne Arundel Community College. Faceoff is 1:00 p.m.

Essex will travel to play Union Community College (Cranford, N.J.) on Saturday, April 13, followed by a contest with the defending Region XX champions Howard Community College on Friday, April 19.

Postseason

The NJCAA Region XX Division I Tournament will be hosted by Harford and run May 3 and 5. Game times will be announced no later than the week of the tournament.

The quarterfinals of the NJCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship begin May 11, at the higher seeds, with the semifinals and championship rounds being hosted by Genesee May 18-19.
