Men's Lacrosse 2020 Schedule

Baltimore County, Md. – CCBC Essex Knights men's lacrosse began its preseason yesterday with a scrimmage at Wilmington University. The preseason continues on February 16 at McDaniel College, as head coach Tim King enters his fourth season looks to improve upon the team's record from last year.  

Home

CCBC Essex's season begins at The Castle, as the Knights host 2019 national runner-up Nassau Community College (Garden City, N.Y.) on Saturday, February 29 at 12 pm. The Lions lost to Onondaga Community College 7-6 in an epic, overtime thriller last season.

On Saturday, March 7 at 12 p.m., Essex will face Genesee Community College (Batavia, N.Y.). The Knights defeated the Cougars 14-7 on the road last season.

Following their away travels, CCBC Essex will have a five-game home stand, beginning on Thursday, March 19 against Finger Lakes Community College (Canandaigua, N.Y.). On Tuesday, March 24th, CCBC Essex will host the ASA College Avengers (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and to end the week, the Knights host Anne Arundel Community College on Saturday, March 28.

The following week, Essex ends the home stand facing Potomac State College of WVU (Keyser, W.Va.) on Tuesday, March 31 and defending national champion Onondaga (Syracuse, N.Y.) on Saturday, April 4 at 12 p.m.

The home finale pits CCBC Essex against Howard Community College on Friday, April 17 under the lights at 7 p.m. The Dragons defeated the Knights 16-11 last season in Columbia, Md.

Away

CCBC Essex begins its away portion of the season in New Jersey playing on back-to-back days Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. On Friday, the Knights take on Mercer County Community College (West Windsor Township, N.J.) before heading to Middletown, N.J. to take on Brookdale Community College.

After the Knights long stretch of home games they'll hit Interstate 95 North for a short trip to take on Harford Community College on Wednesday, April 8th at 6 p.m.

To finish off the regular season the Knights will be heading to New York as they take on Suffolk County Community College (Selden, N.Y.) on Saturday, April 25 at 1 p.m. The Knights defeated Suffolk 11-9 last season.

Playoffs

The NJCAA Region XX Division I Tournament will be hosted by Anne Arundel and begin on April 29. Game times will be announced no later than the week of the tournament.

The quarterfinals of the NJCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship begin May 9, at the higher seeds, with the semifinals and championship rounds being hosted by Nassau May 16-17.
