Men's Soccer: Knights Release 2018 Schedule

Baltimore County, MD -- The Knights finished the 2017 season with a No. 19 national ranking and its sixth consecutive NJCAA Region XX Division I championship. Here's how this season's schedule will play out.

Home

The Knights will open its season for the fifth consecutive year with the CCBC Essex Knights Soccer Kickoff Classic, August 25-26.

On day one, they host Monroe College (Bronx, N.Y.), a team that finished 2017 ranked No. 7 in the nation and were ranked as high at second.

The following day, the Knights will play Eastern Florida State College (Brevard County, Fla.), who were ranked No. 10 last season.

On August 30, the Knights will play Harcum College (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) and look to avenge a 3-2 loss from last season.

The Knights' next home game is on September 4 against Frederick. Essex was 2-0 against the Cougars last season, including a penalty-kick victory last year to win their sixth straight NJCAA Region XX Division I championship.

CCBC continues Maryland Juco conference play on September 8 as they host Anne Arundel.

Essex will go 10 days between home games before hosting Montgomery College in primetime on September 18, then 10 days later Cecil College comes to town.

On October 17, the Knights play its home finale against Howard.

Away

The Knights will play its first road game on September 13 as they travel to Wye Mills, Md. to face Chesapeake College.

Two days later, the Knights renew its intra-campus rivalry against CCBC Catonsville. The two squads last met last season in the region semifinal, which the Knights won on penalty kicks.

Harford will host the Knights on September 21 and four days later Essex returns to the road to take on Prince George's Community College.

The Knights' next road game is 11 days later against College of Southern Maryland.

CCBC Essex heads north to the Boston, Massachusetts area on October 6 to prepare for games against Bunker Hill Community College (Boston, Mass.) on October 7 () and Massasoit Community College (Brockton, Mass.) on October 8.

On October 13, the Knights' road finale is at Allegany College of Maryland, a team they defeated last season 9-0.

Postseason

The NJCAA Region XX Division I Tournament runs October 24-27, with the semifinal and championship games at CCBC Catonsville.

The NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championships begin November 12 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
