Women’s Lacrosse: Knights Release 2019 Schedule

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. – CCBC Essex Knights women's lacrosse today announced its 2019 schedule, which begins with a road game March 14 against Harford Community College. Second year head coach Kandice Schroeder will look to build upon last year's success, the team's first winning season since 2012.

Home

The Knights return home to host a conference contest against the Howard Dragons on Thursday, March 21, before facing off against Jefferson Community College (Watertown, N.Y.) on Saturday, March 23.

April starts another home stand for Essex with games against College of Southern Maryland on Thursday, April 4 and Potomac State College of WVU (Keyser, W.Va.) on Saturday, April 6.

The Knights finish their season with a tough three-game home stand against the defending national champions, Monroe Community College (Rochester, N.Y.) on Sunday, April 14, before taking on conference rivals Anne Arundel and Harford on Thursday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 30, respectively.

Away

Essex travels to meet defending Region XX champions Harford on Thursday, March 14 for a 7:00 p.m. draw.

The Knights start a four-game road stretch against conference opponents Anne Arundel on Tuesday, March 26 and College of Southern Maryland on Thursday, March 28.

That weekend, Essex takes a road trip to face off against Genesee Community College (Batavia, N.Y.) and Erie Community College (Batavia, N.Y.) on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31, respectively.

Before their final home stand, the Knights travel to Howard on Thursday, April 11 for a 4:00 p.m. draw.

Postseason

The NJCAA Region XX Division I Tournament will be played May 8 and 11 at Howard.

Anne Arundel will host this year's NJCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship, which runs May 18-19.
