Women’s Lacrosse 2020 Schedule

Baltimore County, Md. - CCBC Essex women's lacrosse will start its 2020 season with a scrimmage against Notre Dame of Maryland University on Wednesday, February 26 at 5 pm. Head coach Kandice Schroeder is in her third season with CCBC Essex and seeks to improve the team this year, after leading the Knights to consecutive winning seasons in her first two years.

Home

The Knights start the season off with a five game home stand at The Castle, beginning with Finger Lakes Community College (Canandaigua, N.Y.) on Sunday, March 8 at 10 a.m. Later that week, the Knights face their first Region XX opponent of the season in Potomac State College of WVU on Tuesday, March 10 at 6 p.m., The Knights defeated the Catamounts 18-2 to start the season last year and 20-2 later in their campaign.

Essex rounds off its home stand with two games in one week, starting on on Wednesday, March 25, as the Knights face Maryland Juco Conference and Region XX opponent Harford Community College under the lights at 6 p.m. Essex lost both its matches against the Fighting Owls a year ago, as Harford made its way to its first national championship.

Rounding off the Knights' long week is a Saturday, March 28 match against the Ocean County Vikings (Toms River, NJ). First draw is scheduled for 11 a.m.

In April, the Knights have three home games against conference opponents.

On Thursday, April 2, they take on Anne Arundel at 7 p.m. The Riverhawks won last year's regional tournament and bested the Knights three times, including in the region semifinals.

The following week Essex takes on the College of Southern Maryland (Monday, April 6) in a game set to begin at 6 p.m.

CCBC Essex welcomes Howard Community College on Tuesday, April 21 for its home finale. First draw at 7 p.m.

Away

The Knights have only one away game in March, as they travel to Columbia, Md. to take on Howard (Tuesday, March 31) at 4 p.m. 

CCBC Essex hits the road for three straight games beginning with Potomac State on Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m. The Knights have two games he following week against Harford (Thursday, April 16 at 6 p.m.) and travel to Toms River, N.J. on Saturday, April 18 to take on Ocean County.

CCBC Essex has its final two games of the season on the road against Anne Arundel (Thursday, April 23 at 1 p.m.) and Southern Maryland (Tuesday, April 28th at 4 p.m.).

Postseason

The NJCAA Region XX Division I Tournament will be hosted by Harford Community College and begin on May 4. Game times will be announced no later than the week of the tournament.

The quarterfinals of the NJCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship begin May 9 at the higher seeds, with the semifinals and championship rounds being hosted by Onondaga Community College May 16-17.
