Women's Soccer Schedule Release: Knights Look to Make Waves in Region XX

Baltimore County, Md. - Joe Fiedler has had the interim title removed and is back for his second season at the helm of Knights' women's soccer.

He returns armed with a talented team of young ladies looking to capture a regional title for the first time since 2012.

CCBC Essex begins with the sixth annual Knights Kickoff Classic, August 24-25 and will take play defending NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer national champion Monroe College (New Rochelle, N.Y.) on day one, followed by Harcum College (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) the next day.

Home

Essex will be back home on September 3 to take on Montgomery College at 5:00 p.m.

Next, the Knights have game Sunday, September 8 at 11:00 am against Rowan College at Burlington County (Pemberton, N.J.).

Essex will host Cecil Community College on September 12 and are back at home against Hagerstown Community College on September 21.

On September 26, the Knights will play Potomac State before playing three straight road games.

The Knights will take on Carroll Community College, which is in its first season of athletics, on October 3 at 5:00 p.m.

The home and regular season finale will take place on October 15 as the Knights go head to head with Frederick Community College.

Away

August 27 marks the first road game for the Knights as they travel to Bel Air, Md. to take on the Fighting Owls of Harford Community College.

Anne Arundel will host the Knights September 6 and Essex hits the road again on September 15 to take on Richard Bland in Petersburg, Va.

Essex will go back on the road for a game but will stay in the state of Maryland as they take on the College of Southern Maryland on September 17.

On September 25, Howard Community College will host Essex in Columbia, Md. with game time scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

The Knights begin a three-game road stretch with a trip to New York. Monroe Community College (Rochester, N.Y.) is the first opponent of Essex on September 28, follow the next day by Genesee Community College (Batavia, N.Y.).

To end the three road game stretch the Knights will come back to Maryland on October 1 to play against intra-campus rival CCBC Catonsville.

The final road game of the season is on October 5 West Windsor, N.J., as the Knights take on Mercer Community College.

Postseason

Harford will host the NJCAA Region XX Division I Women's Soccer Tournament this season. The semifinals will be on October 31, with the final on November 2.

This year's Region XX champion and runner up will travel to a TBA Region 19 school for the North Central District Tournament.

The District champion will earn a bid to the national tournament, this year hosted by Eastern Florida.
