Bio

Gilchrist was hired as the CCBC Essex Head Athletic Trainer in the summer of 2019. Prior to joining the Knights, she served as assistant athletic trainer at Lebanon Valley College (2016-2019).

A Maryland native, Gilchrist graduated from Archbishop Spalding High School in 2010 and would then earn her Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Salisbury University (2014). She would go on to attend the University of South Carolina, where she finished her Master of Science degree in advanced athletic training in 2016. While at South Carolina, Gilchrist served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. 

During the 2014-2015 academic year, Gilchrist was a graduate assistant at Claflin University and worked with the volleyball, women's basketball and baseball teams. In the summer of 2015, she served as an athletic trainer for the Lexington County Blowfish, a summer collegiate baseball team in the Coastal Plain League (South Carolina). For the 2015-2016 academic year, she was the athletic trainer for the University of South Carolina's beach volleyball team. 

Gilchrist is a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, loves baking and decorating cakes, and making stained glass pieces of art. She resides in Glen Burnie, Md.
