Baseball 2020 Schedule

Baltimore County, Md. -- CCBC Essex Knights baseball begin its 2020 campaign February 28 and 29 in Boone, N.C. with a four-game set against Caldwell County Community College. Knights' first-year head coach Sean O'Connor and the Knights will play 30 of its 47 games at home. 

Home

CCBC Essex looks to get off to a hot start at home as they face off against sibling rival CCBC Catonsville (March 5). The Knights were 2-1 last year against the Cardinals and look to establish themselves as a dominant force for the rest of their eight-game home stand.

Essex has a double-header the following weekend on March 8 starting at 12 p.m. against Region XX rivals Harford Community College.  

It's a busy weekend for Essex the following week, with six games in three days.

On Friday, March 13, the Knights begin the weekend with a double-header against Sullivan County Community College (Loch Sheldrake, N.Y.). The next day CCBC Essex squares off in a twin bill with Orange County Community College (Middletown, N.Y.) and two with conference rival Prince George's Community College on Sunday.

After one game away, the Knights take on five double-headers in the upcoming weeks.

The Knights play two against Allegany College on Saturday, March 21. It's Mike Carter's first game back at Essex as head coach of the Trojans, after leading the Knights for the past nine seasons.  

On Sunday, the Knights are back bright and early to take on Erie Community College (Erie County N.Y.) starting at 11 a.m.

CCBC Essex returns to The Castle to take on Rockland Community College (Suffern, N.Y.) at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. That same weekend they host Dominican College (JV) from Middletown N.Y. on Friday, March 27 at 2 p.m. and then take on College of Southern Maryland, Sunday, March 29.

Following an away game at Anne Arundel, the Knights host the Region XX opponent in a single game on April 2 at 3 p.m. Two days later, the Knights find themselves taking on Hagerstown Community College in another double-header beginning at noon.

Essex begins a six-game home stand on April 11 with a double-header against Cecil College. Chesapeake College comes to town on April 18 and then Rowan College at Burlington County (Mount Laurel Township, N.J.) at 12 p.m. on April 19.

CCBC Essex plays its home finale against Lehigh Carbon Community College (Lehigh County, Pa.) in a double-header on Sunday, April 26.    

Away

After the North Carolina trip, the Knights next road game is against CCBC Catonsville on March 3. Followed by another single road game at Stevenson University (JV) on March 19.

The final road game of March comes against Anne Arundel Community College on March 31. 

April 7 the Knights begin their second four game road trip of the season.

On April 7, Essex heads to McHenry, Md. for a double-header with Garrett College, and then heads to Media, Pa. on April 9 for two against Delaware County Community College. 

Their final four-game road trip starts April 23 with a double-header against Montgomery College. On April 25 the Knights complete the second half of the road trip with a double-header against CCBC Dundalk.

The Knights road schedule ends with a double-header against Frederick Community College on May 2.

Postseason 

The 2020 NJCAA Region XX Division II Tournament will be hosted by CCBC Catonsville and runs May 8-10. Game times will be announced no later than the week of the tournament.
