Bio

Fiedler joined CCBC Essex in February 2012 as the sixth head men's soccer coach in Knights' history. He has led the Knights to an 85-43-9 (.642) overall record through 2018, seven straight (2012-2018) NJCAA Region XX Division I Championships, three Maryland JUCO Conference titles (2015-2017) and four appearances in the NJCAA Men's Soccer Division I National Tournament (2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018).

In spring of 2018, Fiedler became the first soccer coach in CCBC Essex history to take the helm for both soccer teams, as he was named interim head women's soccer coach. With arguably one of the most difficult schedules in the nation, he led the Knights to a 7-9-1 (.424) finish in his first season and appearance in the Region XX Tournament. The interim title was removed at the end of 2018.

He has been selected Region XX Coach of the Year (2012 and 2013) and voted CCBC Essex Coach of the Year by his peers four times (2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2016-2017 and 2018-2019). In addition, Fiedler has been named the Maryland JUCO Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Coach of the Year three times (2015-2017). 

Prior to taking over at Essex, Fiedler was the head boy’s soccer coach at Loch Raven High School (1997-2011). During his tenure, the Raiders were two-time Baltimore County Championship Finalists, made five trips to the Maryland State semi-finals, three State Finals appearances, and captured the State Title in 2009. Fiedler’s teams received NSCAA Team Academic Awards in 13 of his 15 seasons. For his efforts, he received the 2005 NHFS State Coach of the Year and 2011 NSCAA Small School State Coach of the Year awards.

A graduate of CCBC Essex (then Essex Community College) and University of Baltimore (Bachelors of Science), Fiedler currently resides in Parkville, Md. with his wife Barbara. Together the have two children, son Tim, who is one of Fiedler's assistant coaches, and daughter Jill.
