Bio

Rebecca Plantholt has been an Athletic Specialist for CCBC Essex since May 2015. She served in a temporary role at CCBC Dundalk, assisting the Director of College Athletics with the oversight of Dundalk Athletics during the search for its Administrator of Athletics (2018). In May 2022, she took over the role of Athletic Operations Assistant, assisting the Knights’ athletics department with sports information and social media, student-athlete eligibility, certification of athletic teams, event planning, staff scheduling, and overseeing the athletic internship program on the Essex campus.

Plantholt earned her Associate of Arts in General Studies from CCBC in June 2015, her Bachelor of Arts with a major in sport management and a minor in business administration from Towson University in May 2016, and her MBA from the University of Baltimore in May 2021. While attending CCBC, she was as work study and a dual-sport student-athlete, playing soccer for CCBC Essex and softball for CCBC Dundalk, and was a member of the Knights 2012 Region XX Championship women’s soccer team.

Plantholt interned with the Director of Compliance at Towson University Athletics in the fall of 2015. She performed initial eligibility checks, scholarship tracking, form tracking, and assisted with the NCAA Race and Gender Demographics Report.

Plantholt loves all sports, particularly her favorite teams, the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Capitals.

Plantholt currently resides in Perry Hall, Md. and enjoys playing guitar and camping.
