Bio

Carter is entering his fifth season as head baseball coach at CCBC Essex.

In 2010, he served as the Knights' pitching coach and was promoted to head coach the following season.

He began his coaching career at Allegany College (2002-2006) as pitching coach for the Trojans, who advanced to the NJCAA College World Series in 2006. Carter also spent 2013 as head coach of the Baltimore Red Birds of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, where he led the team to the CRCBL League Title.

Carter played college baseball for Allegany from 1997 to 1998 and appeared in the NJCAA College World Series in 1997. He graduated from Fairmont State College with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and from West Virginia University with a Master’s of Science in Athletic Coaching Education.

Carter spends his days working for Baltimore City Public Schools as a Physical Education and Health teacher at Digital Harbor High School.
