Men's Soccer: Five Knights Earn All Maryland JUCO Honors

ROSEDALE, Md. -- The Maryland JUCO Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday its All Conference teams and Knights Javier Avetrani, Trevor Brookhart, Nehemiah Crawford, Steve Momenya and Storm Robinson received honors. 

Avetrani, Brookhart, Crawford and Momenya were named to the first team and Robinson the second team. 

Avetrani (Freshman | Midfielder | Oakland Mills H.S.)
Fourth on the team with eights goals, ranking tied for 15th in the conference and 12th in NJCAA Region XX Division I...led the team with seven assists, which tied him for seventh in Maryland JUCO and tied for third in NJCAA Region XX Division I...his 23 points were third best on the team, tied for 13th in the conference and tied for 10th in region division one.

Brookhart (Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Liberty H.S.)
Played 1,283-of-1,710 minutes in goal...posted a 1.19 goals against average that ranked fourth in Maryland JUCO and second in NJCAA Region XX Division I...he was seventh and sixth in conference and region division one, respectively, with 77 total saves...his .819 save percentage was No. 3 in conference and region.

Crawford (Freshman | Forward | Baltimore City College H.S.)
Scored a team-leading 14 goals, which were tied for fourth in the conference and tied for No. 2 in NJCAA Region XX Division I...also posted five assists...ended the season with 33 points, tied for No. 4 and No. 2 in Maryland JUCO and NJCAA Region XX Division I, respectively.

Momenya (Sophomore | Defender | Parkdale H.S.)
Arguably the best center back in the region, he also made an impact on offense, scoring five goals and finishing with 11 points...he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Frederick in the NJCAA Region XX Division I Men's Soccer Championship, which sent the Knights to its three national tournament in four years.

Robinson (Sophomore | Forward | Our Lady of Mt. Carmel)
Second on the team with 11 goals (tied No. 10 in conference, tied No. 7 NJCAA Region XX Division I)...he also recorded four assists...his season culminated with 26 points, 11th in Maryland JUCO and eighth in the region...recorded four braces this season to lead the team in multi-goal games.
