#2 CCBC Essex Knights Dominate with a 14-1 Win Over Cecil College

Northeast, Md. – The #2 ranked CCBC Essex men's soccer team won with ease Tuesday night by a final score of 14-1 against divisional and Region 20 opponent, Cecil College.

The Knights started off hot on offense by landing a corner kick in the second minute of the game and scoring there first of many goals in the game in the fourth minute. The first goal was scored by Toga Katsuma and was assisted by Ethan Hackenberg.

The Knights would then go on a scoring spree landing goals in the 10th, 11th, and 12th minute of the game. Starters Caleb Pritchett and Kevin Osorio landed the 10th and 11th minute goals in the game. The Knights had some help by the Seahawks' in the 12th minute that extended the Knights lead to 3-0.

The CCBC Essex Knights continued to pressure Cecil in the latter portion of the first half, landing several more shots on goal. That resulted in six more goals by Pritchett, Kazuma Ishizuka, Christian Marquez, Ariya Sithara, and Adrian Hernandez on a penalty kick.

At the end of first half the Knights had twenty shots and three corner kicks. Goalkeeper Robin Schulze had two saves in the first half.

The Knights changed up their starting lineup for the second half and continued to pressure the ball early. Donnie Frayer opened up the second half with an early goal assisted by Adrian Hernandez in the 47th minute increasing the lead to 11-0. Joaquin Saavedra scored the first and only goal for Cecil College in the 58th minute.

Pritchett earned himself a hat trick in the 74th minute of the game increasing the Knights lead to 12-1. The Knights would then go on to score two more goals in the final minutes of the game by Hackenberg and Sithara.

The Knights won the game with a final score of 14-1 over Cecil College. The CCBC Essex Knights finished the game with 32 shots, 22 shots on frame. Pritchett led the offensive scoring with a hat trick in the game. Goalkeeper Robin Schulze recorded three saves in the four shots on target he faced.

The Knights will have their season opener against Harford Community College on Thursday, September 8th. Kickoff will be approximately 7:00pm following the conclusion of the women's soccer game.
