No. 3 Knights Keep Pushing Forward

Rosedale, Md.--On Sunday February 20, 2022, the No. 3 Essex Knights took on Sullivan County Community College, once again coming away with the win. They are continuing on their path to a perfect season.

The Knights continue their win streak by defeating Sullivan 93-64 and are now 28-0 on the season. In an unusual occurrence, the Knights were held to under 100 points for the first time in the past 11 games.

Five players on the Knights scored in the double digits with Patricia Anumgba leading the team with 27 points. Lyric Swann and Kelly Foster both finished the night with a double-double to help the Knights put away with the win, Swann scoring 17 points with 12 assists, and Kelly Foster scoring 12 points with 13 rebounds.

In the first quarter, Essex started the game out on fire scoring 24 points compared to Sullivans' 5 points. At the end of the first half the score was 48-26 in the Knights favor. The rest of the game was back and forth scoring wise with Essex scoring 24 points and Sullivan scoring 22 in the third quarter, and in the fourth quarter Sullivan got outscored again 21-16 resulting in the final score 93-64.

CCBC Essex will look to continue their winning streak of 48 straight wins and continue to be perfect this year with a 29-0 record on Tuesday when CCBC Catonsville comes to Essex to take on the Knights.
