Bio

Dennison Long was hired in August 2024 to lead CCBC Essex in sprints, hurdles, and relays.

He coached at his alma mater, University of Maryland Baltimore County, from 2019-2023 where he assisted with the short sprints program. During Long's time there, he trained six individual athletes to top-ten marks in the  program's history.

Prior to UMBC, Long coached at Bowie State University from 2016-2019, in charge of sprints, short hurdles, and relays. He helped Davon Carroll to three school records and two All-American honors, while helping lead Bowie State to two top-three team finishes at the CIAA championships and coachin the 2019 CIAA high jump champion.

As an athlete, Long competed at Florida International University from 2009-2011 where he help four freshman records and the school's 60m record.
