Bio
Taariq Cephas began his college coaching career in spring 2019 as an assistant with the Knights.
He was a four-year starter at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland (2011-2015), an NCAA Division I institution. As a freshman, Cephas was named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team. During his sophomore campaign, he was named team captain. He earned All Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Third Team honors in his senior season and finished his time at Coppin with over 1,000 points and 400 assists.
Cephas graduated from Coppin with a bachelors in Criminal Justice and is currently a sergeant in the Columbia Police Force (Washington, D.C.).
He currently resides in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
