Men's Lacrosse: CCBC Essex Takes Down Frederick, Finishes Perfect Home Stand

ROSEDALE, Md. -- The No. 3 Knights defeated the Cougars 15-2 last night to complete a 3-0 home stand, which saw them play three games in four days. 

Sophomore Brandyn O'Connell (Downingtown) began the game hot, assisting on four of the Essex's first seven goals and sophomore Dylan Riley (Windsor) assisted on the other two.

Sophomore Derek Taylor (Perry Hall) finished the night with four goals against Frederick (2-2), raising his team leading tallies to 18 this season. 

Sophomore Brendan Nolan (Fallston) scored three goals and one assist and trails Taylor by only four goals.

For the second consecutive game, sophomore Deangelo Watkins (Decatur) scored three goals.

Freshman Matt LeCompte (Stephen Decatur) finished the game with one goal and one assist and sophomores Dylan Dooley (The Calverton School) and Blake McDonald (Assumption) scored one goal.

Freshmen Raphael Vargas (Desert Vista) and Nick Esser (Fallston) each scored a goal.

Next up

The Knights (6-0, 1-0 Maryland JUCO) will travel to Syracuse, N.Y. Saturday to take on No. 2 Onondaga Lazers. Game time is scheduled for 12 noon.
