CCBC Essex Knights Men's Lacrosse 2023 Schedule Release

Rosedale, Md. – The Knights are preparing for their upcoming 2023 season, looking to continue their previous success under a new head coach. After 2 successful years reaching the NJCAA final four, the Knights return to the field lead by Head Coach Tyler Covey. In his previous time as Offensive Coordinator, the Knights earned national championship berths which they look to replicate this year.

The Knights will get their first real test when they travel to Lexington, Va. on February 4th to face off against a pair of NCAA Division III teams in a tri-match. They will play Mary Washington at 2:00pm and Washington & Lee at 4:00pm. On February 11th, the Knights will travel to face off against Bridgewater College at 1:00pm for their final preseason matchup.

The Knights open the season at home this year on February 25th. They will take on the Union Community College Owls at 12:00pm at the Castle. Following their home opener, the Knights will host two more competitive teams with the Genesee Community College Cougars on March 5th and the reigning National Champions, the Nassau Community College Lions, on March 11th. Both mathcups are slated for 12:00pm start times. 

The Knights will go on their first road trip, travelling to face a pair of Region 3 teams. They will first play Onondaga Community College Lazers on March 18th at 12:00pm, before facing off against the Monroe Community College Tribunes on the 19th at 12:00pm.

The Knights will continue their spur of away games and travel to Carroll Community College on March 29th for their first regional matchup, The faceoff is scheduled for 4:00pm. 

Returning home on April 1st, the Knights will host Brookdale Community College at 1:00pm.

The Knights will then go on the road again to play another regional matchup against the reigning Region Champions, the Harford Community College Fighting Owls. The matchup will take place at 7:00pm.

Closing our their home schedule, the team comes back to the Castle to host two regional opponents under the lights. They will play the Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawks on April 12th and will once again battle the Dragons of Howard Community College on April 19th, both contests at 7:00pm.

Following this set of home games, the Knight will play their final regular season game in West Winsor, N.J. against the Mercer County Community College Vikings at 12:00pm.

The first round of the Region 20 tournament is scheduled for April 25th, hosted by the higher seed. On April 28th and 30th, Anne Arundel will be hosting the Region 20 semi-finals and championship games.

The first round of the NJCAA National Tournament will take place on May 6th, hosted by the higher seed. The NJCAA National Tournament semi-finals and championship games will take place on May 13th and 14th, hosted by Harford Community College.
