CCBC Essex Knights Men's Lacrosse 2024 Schedule Release

Rosedale, Md. – Heading into year two, Head Coach Tyler Covey and the Knights continue to build upon the successes of his first year behind the reins. Last year was the third season as the regional runner-up and a participant in the national final four in as many years, but Coach Covey and the Knights have even bigger aspirations for the upcoming season. In order to do so, they will be road warriors since they are the home team in only 4 of their 13 games, with 11 of those 13 games played on the road.

The Knights start the spring with two scrimmages and two tri-matches. The first tri-match is hosted by Roanoke College on February 3rd. The Knights will then host Frostburg State University in a scrimmage on February 10th. The Knights finish their preseason on the road for a tri-match at Muhlenberg College on February 10th and a scrimmage at Lawrenceville Prep on February 17th.

After their preseason tune-ups, the Knights open their season at home against Army Prep on February 24th. The game is scheduled for noon.

Then the Knights will start a six-game road stretches on March 2nd and 3rd, as they travel to New York to play Genesee and Herkimer Community Colleges respectively. Both games are slated for a noon start time. The Knights will then play Stevenson University's JV on March 8th at 6:30pm.

On March 12th, the Knights will take on Delaware Technical Community College at Delaware Turf Sports Complex for a 4pm matchup. The Knights then take their second road trip to New York to face off against Monroe Community College and Tompkins-Cortland Community College on March 23rd and 24th respectively. Both of those games are scheduled for noon.

The Knights will return home for a contest against the College of DuPage in their inaugural season. The game will be at 6pm on March 26th.

Returning to the road, the Knights head north to New York for a final time to take on Nassau Community College. This game is scheduled for noon on March 30th. The last three years, this contest has been decided by only two goals or less.

The Knights will have their first regional matchup against Anne Arundel Community College on April 3rd. The game will be hosted by Anne Arundel at 6pm.

Due to facility renovations, the remaining home contests for the Knights will be played on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse's Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland. The Knights will host the defending Region 20 and National Champions on April 6th at 7pm.

The Knights will then play their third and final regional opponent in as many games as they hit the road for the last time of the regular season to play Howard Community College. The gametime is scheduled for 4pm

The Knights close out the regular season hosting Mercer County Community College at USA Lacrosse's Tierney Field on April 20th. The time is still to be determined.

Anne Arundel Community College will be hosting the Region 20 semi-finals and championship games on April 26th and 28th.

The first round of the NJCAA National Tournament will take place on May 4th, hosted by the higher seed. The NJCAA National Tournament semi-finals and championship games will take place on May 11th and 12th, hosted by Harford Community College.
