Moye, Gagan, Flynn Named to All-Maryland Juco Conference Teams

Baltimore County, Md. – CCBC Essex women's basketball student-athletes Mya Moye, Kasey Gagan and Aislinn Flynn were named to All-Maryland Juco Conference teams yesterday, as announced by the conference.

Moye and Gagan were named to the first team and Flynn honorable mention.

Mya Moye, Sophomore (Anacostia H.S. | Washington, D.C. | Florida A&M University transfer) 
Four-time Maryland Juco Athlete of the Month (November-February) recipient and recently announced as the Maryland Juco Player of the Year…led the conference in scoring (22.8 points per game), free throw percentage (79.0%), and third in both assists (6.7 per game) and three-point percentage (38.8%) this season…On January 29 vs. Northern Virginia, set NJCAA  records for points in a game (81) and made field goals (32)…scored her 1,000th collegiate point March 7 in Region XX Division II semifinal game vs. Montgomery…named Region XX Tournament MVP…has multiple NCAA Division I offers.

Kasey Gagan, Sophomore (St. Raphael Academy | Warwick, R.I. | University of Rhode Island transfer)
Knights' team captain…led the league with the most steals this season (139) and ranked 5th in NJCAA Division II with 4.3 steals per game…fourth in three-point percentage throughout the conference and tied for the fourth most assists this season…averaged 16.8 points per game and shot 69.9% from the free throw line…had a career-high 40 points January 22 vs. Prince George's…finished with a quadruple-double on 12 points, 11 rebounds, 15 assists and 15 steals on January 29 vs. Northern Virginia…her defensive leadership and prowess made her an intricate part of the Knight's defensive system…has multiple NCAA Division I offers.

Aislinn Flynn, Sophomore (Long Island Lutheran | Point Lookout, N.Y. | Towson University transfer)
A forward that was important to helping the Knights space the floor…effective inside, but could step out and hit a three when needed…second in Maryland Juco and seventh in NJCAA Division II in blocks per game (3.8) and fourth in total rebounds (294)…averaged nearly a double-double for the season with 9.4 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game…finished the season with 11 double-doubles…had a career-high 19 rebounds on December 15 vs. Genesee…blocked a career-high 13 shots on December 27 vs. Cecil…has multiple NCAA Division I offers.
