Knights grab tough road victory

Essex, Md—Knights keep rolling. In their 100-65 win over the Raritan Valley Community College Golden Lions, the Knights improved to 4-0 on the season.
In what was a much tougher match than last week, the Knights still managed to come out of the game victorious.
Great teams find a way and they did just that on the road.
The Knights got off to a rather slow start in the first period holding a 15-11 lead by its conclusion.
This was to be expected given the Golden Lions are one of the better teams the Knights have faced all season.
Despite a tougher opponent, the Knights did a fantastic job staying out of foul trouble. There wasn't a single player on the Knights team with more than one foul.
Outstanding performances from Guards Gissel Gamble, Paige Smith and Cierra McGinlay set the Knights apart from their opponent.
Gamble finished the game with 18pts, 10 of those points coming from the free throw line, the rest field goals.
Smiths' 12pts came from all over, scoring a pair of three pointers, free throws and a few field goals. Her presence continues to be felt.
McGinlay, the teams' leading scorer with 25pts, was seemingly unstoppable. McGinlay finished 9/13 in field goals, and 7/10 from three. A total shooting percentage of roughly 70%.
A freshman whose name keeps jumping off the box score is Guard Reghan Robinson, she finished with 11pts and continues to make her presence felt.
The difference maker in this game was an explosive 3rd period from the Knights. They score 42 points in the quarter which gave them a 76-40 lead heading into the final period. Some serious cushion to fall back on heading into the final period of the game.
The Knights will travel to Port Huron, Michigan to participate in the ThumbCoast Tip Off Classic this weekend.
