Women's Soccer 2022 Schedule Release

Rosedale, Md. – The CCBC Essex women's soccer team look to continue to build the program from Head Coach Steve King's first season with the Knights. Last year, the Knights went 8-4 overall with a 4-1 conference record, and finished at the NJCAA Division II Region 20 Women's Soccer Runner Ups.

The Knights will start their season heading south for two contests against nationally ranked teams at a neutral site before ultimately returning to the Kingdom to have their home opener against the reigning Region 20 champions, Howard Community College, on September 6 at 6 p.m.

Home

After the Knights' home opener, they will host Harford Community College at 5 p.m. on September 8. A week later, CCBC Catonsville will travel to the Kingdom on September 15 for a 5 p.m. matchup.

CCBC Essex will host the College of Southern Maryland on September 22 at 5 p.m. The Knights will then open up their slate of games in October when Union College visits on the first for a 12 p.m. game.

The Knights' wrap up their season at home with a game against Anne Arundel Community College on October 6 before hosting their regular season finale on October 18 when Richard Bland College comes to Maryland. Both games kickoff at 5 p.m.

Away

CCBC Essex starts their season facing off against Holmes Community College and Jones College, two teams who were in the top three Division II rankings heading into the NJCAA national tournament last year. The Knights will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to take on Holmes Community College on August 26 and Jones College on August 27, both games at 7 p.m.

The Knights return to Maryland and head to Carroll Community College on August 30 for a 2 p.m. kickoff. After a two-game home stand, the Knights travel to Hagerstown for a 4 p.m. game on September 13.

The Knights will travel to Columbia, Md. to participate in the Dragon Invitational hosted by Howard Community College. They will face off against Sussex County Community College and Union College September 17-18 with both games slated for 12 p.m.

To close out the first half of the regular season, the third contest of a three-game stretch on the road will take place in Rockville, Md. against Montgomery College. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. on September 20.

CCBC Essex takes a trip to West Windsor, N.J. on September 24 to take on Mercer County Community College at 12 p.m. Frederick Community College will host the Knights on September 27 at 2 p.m.

The Knights visit another state on October 4 for a contest with WVU Potomac State College, scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Before returning to the Kingdom to finish out the regular season, CCBC Essex travels to Allegany College of Maryland on October 11 for a 2 p.m. kickoff. The Knights final road game of the season is on October 14 against Harcum College at 6 p.m.

Postseason

The Knights will host the NJCAA Region 20 Division II Women's Soccer Tournament at CCBC Dundalk. The semifinals will be played on October 26 and final on October 29.

The Region 20 champion will compete for the NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer East District championship on November 5.

The NJCAA East District champion will earn a bid to the national tournament November 14-19, hosted by Pima Community College (Tucson, Ariz.).
